The Riverhouse is an inspired, custom creation, featuring Prairie house elements and an optimized, 180 degree, hilltop view of the river. Although it is a single-storey home, horizontal design layers give it extra dimension and character. The exterior displays a horizontal trend with elongated brick and short, elevated windows, to integrate handsomely with the natural landscape. A bird’s-eye view of the home reveals the shape of a cross, personalizing the design for the client. The interior emphasizes the view with open sight-lines and generous window space. Warm woods and stone are used as interior surfacing, drawing the natural theme to the interior. The driveway is intentionally placed to provide a beautiful view of the home as you approach, then rounds to the garage area.
